Dealing with practical matters (like pensions) can seem overwhelming when you’ve lost someone – and we understand that. But we are here to support you every step of the way. We’ve tried to make things as simple as possible and our team is on hand whenever you are ready.

It’s best to call us if you can, as we can start sorting things straight away and talk you through next steps. If you don’t want to call, you can let us know someone has passed away through any of our communication channels and we’ll take it from there.


Information you will need

It’s best to have as much of the information below on hand when you call. But it's ok if you don’t have everything. We will still be able to help you.

One thing to consider is whether the pension scheme is administered by Blumont Annuity or not. The easiest way to find out is to check here for the scheme name and you will get all of the contact details you need:

  • policyholder name
  • date they passed away
  • pension scheme they were a member of  
  • policy number or pension scheme number
  • National Insurance number
  • Date of Birth
  • details for the policyholder’s spouse or partner (if they have one)
  • details of any financial dependents (if they have any)
  • contact details for the person dealing with the estate
